Psyllid & Disease Control
Management and suppression of the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) is critical to protecting commercial citrus trees from Huanglongbing (HLB) and maintaining California’s vibrant citrus industry. HLB has no cure, and it could be decades until there is a solution. Right now, the best way to stop the disease from spreading is to stop the Asian citrus psyllid.
To suppress psyllid populations, the University of California recommends various treatment strategies and ACP-effective insecticides. Additionally, the California Department of Food and Agriculture has put ACP and HLB quarantines into effect to limit the spread of the psyllid and the disease within the state.
