Fresno Train-the-Trainer: Best Practices for Citrus Field Crews to Prevent the Spread of ACP/HLB

Presented in Spanish, this training will inform front-line leaders in the field about what they can do to reduce the risk of spreading Asian citrus psyllid and Huanglongbing at work. During the workshop participants will:

  • Understand the threat of the Asian citrus psyllid and Huanglongbing to their livelihoods in the citrus industry
  • Become familiar with best practices for field crews to keep ACP from spreading on plant material, equipment and personal items that leave the field
  • Practice using effective communication techniques to help their crews and others understand these best practices and why they are required

Crew bosses, foremen, ranch managers and packinghouse representatives are encouraged to attend this free event.

Continuing education credits have been applied for and are pending approval by the Department of Pesticide Regulation.
