The Ventura County ACP-HLB Task Force invites local citrus industry members to attend an informational workshop on Monday, Dec. 17, for updates on the Asian citrus psyllid suppression strategy, Huanglongbing (HLB) detections, status of state and federal research programs, and more. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required.

1:30 p.m. – Update on the statewide Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program, status of HLB in California, tree-removal programs, and 2018 area-wide management participation rates.

1:45 p.m. – Managing the Asian citrus psyllid in Southern California commercial groves and complying with quarantine requirements.
Dr. Beth Grafton-Cardwell, IPM specialist and research entomologist, University of California-Riverside, and Director of Lindcove Research and Extension Center

2:30 p.m. – Update on state and federal research projects and discussion of action plan for HLB confirmation in commercial groves.
