Ventura County Packinghouse Meeting: Nov. 1

The Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program and California Citrus Mutual invite packinghouse managers, operations managers and supervisors in Ventura County to attend a roundtable discussion about the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) and Huanglongbing (HLB).

The meeting will include updates on ACP and HLB in Southern California, regulations affecting businesses, and program activities happening at the statewide level.

Time will be provided for questions and discussion with:

  • Nawal Sharma, manager for the quarantine response program at the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA)
  • Victoria Hornbaker, statewide citrus program manager at CDFA
  • Ed Williams, Ventura County Agricultural Commissioner
  • Link Leavens and Ted Grether, Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program Committee members

When: Thursday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. – noon
