A fact sheet about requirements for the movement of bulk citrus is available for citrus growers, packers/processors and transporters in Zone 5 of the Asian citrus psyllid regional quarantine (San Diego and Imperial counties, and parts of San Bernardino and Riverside counties). The Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program and California Citrus Mutual are offering free private, hands-on training workshops for local packinghouses and their crews and farm labor contractors about how to prevent Huanglongbing (HLB) from threatening the California citrus industry’s livelihood and infecting commercial groves.

To prevent Asian citrus psyllid populations from developing on fall citrus leaf flush in Kern County, the San Joaquin Valley ACP/HLB Task Force is recommending growers with citrus blocks east and south of Bakersfield make a soil-applied imidacloprid treatment at some point during mid-August through mid-September.
